And who on God's green flat earth are you?
Hey. My name's Cadence, and I typically go by "Maj!"—or, if that's not available, "majorlysucking"—online. The exclamation point is of the utmost importance.
Anyway, there's honestly not too much to say about me. I'm your typical wage slave who likes gaming, reading, and watching junk online to dull the pain of existence. You know, like everyone else.
And, oh, yeah, I'm gay. I like women and nonbinary folk.
All right, that was boring, let's get specific!
Here's a list of some of my hobbies, with a bit more detail.
- GAMING!!!! - Yes, unfortunately, I am a gamer. I like a broad variety of genres, but specifically, I'm a big fan of platformers and RPGs, action or turn-based. My favorite game of all time is probably CrossCode. You should play it.
- Celeste - This one really goes without saying. I like platformers. This is an excellent platformer. I like it.
- Crypt of the NecroDancer - A roguelike that revolves around rhythm. A strange concept, but really fun.
Also see Cadence of Hyrule, a crossover between NecroDancer and The Legend of Zelda. - Crystal Project - A turn-based RPG with a primary focus on world exploration and platforming, and a secondary focus on build customization. Definitely not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.
- SIGNALIS - A survival horror game. I don't wanna spoil any of the REALLY cool stuff, so I'll just say that it's got a pretty gripping narrative, and is absolutely inundated with a special kind of existential dread.
- Splatoon 3 - You probably know what Splatoon is, right? You HAVE to have heard of it at least once, yeah? Anyway, Splatoon 3 owns, I play it a lot.
- GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- - I'm not a fighting game person, if you'd believe it. Some friends peer pressured me (they were playing it and I thought it looked fun) into trying Strive, and whaddaya know, I like it. The gameplay is actually decently paced, and I really enjoy the way Elphelt plays. I main Elphelt.
- Reading - Like most sentient creatures of the flesh, I enjoy reading. Novels, webcomics, manga, etc. Predominantly manga, though, to be honest. …And mostly yuri/lesbian stuff. I know what I am and I know what I like.
- Writing - As you might've noticed, I like writing! For now, I'm just working on Shattered Moon off and on as a hobby. And maybe some blog posts or game reviews or whatever when I'm feeling inspired.
